I just obey the Constitution

As for prejudice against the Fair Tax, I don't have to be;

The Fair tax would empower the federal government simply by it's existence.

Why do not all these people you know spend time simply removing the income tax amendment?

The "Original" Constitution the Founders INTENDED, Read This way:

Article 1, Section 9:

"No Capitation, or OTHER direct, Tax shall be laid, UNLESS in "Proportion to the Census or ENUMERATION" herein before directed to be taken."

Was amended to:

Amendment 16:

"The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, WITHOUT apportionment among the several States, and WITHOUT regard to any census of enumeration."

What are you having a hard time understanding?

The FairTax MAINTAINS the Corruption; It CONTINUES to finance Wasteful government, Corrupt practices and Manipulation; It Changes NOTHING but how it collects the SAME AMOUNT (and more! The Fair Tax even SAYS IT WILL!) TO SUPPORT A CORRUPT FEDERAL GOVERNMENT.

Why not simply spend all their time, money and resources canvasing for repeal of the 16th amendment;

(UNLESS they hope to gain something from the FairTax! ... Which is simply a more intrusive "Jealousy Tax")

To correct you, I am a Common Law Constitutionalist, which is about as far from "liberal" as you can get;

...and I know the difference between Constitutionalism (Common Law) and Liberalism (as well as Libertarianism); Where many do not.
