I see it in every single job sector - the dead wood is floating to the top as the dedicated professionals are leaving in exasperation at being surrounded by more and more incompetence.

The good, common-sensical people are becoming fed-up with the jerks who get hired via nepotism or cronyism or via outright falsification and disingenuous behavior.

This is, in no way, an ageist remark. I recognize good leadership skills wherever they may exist.
