Alas, Germany is more free here, because they think

Which still doesn't explain your position of why you need another law other than wreckless driving and why it is 55 mph, or why driving over the speed limit in a desert endangers anyone - when no one lives within a hundred miles.

You aren't reasoning. We didn't use to have such laws, they are laws against the state, not particular victims - if so who was endangered, "over 55" specifies NO victim. And why does no speed limit work in Germany?

And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor.
