That's a good point! I never thought about the venting in furnace. My venting is done via the chimney so that makes sense.

Hmmmm, I'd like to be able to use the stove for emergency heating... do you think if I bought a carbon monoxide detector I should be okay? (only in terms of the carbon monoxide issue; gas leaks and fire hazards are different story)
