(See in situ)

So far as I am aware Communism has never been reached.

The only stage that was reached in any country committed to reaching the Communist paradise was socialism as in the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. The goal was Communism, a sort of secular communal libertarian utopia if I understand it correctly, but that never came about.

I believe the socialist stage is still underway elsewhere like here in the UK and in the US. Marx did envisage the kind of mixed socialist/ capitalist society that exists in both our countries and in most of Europe. Marx was the fellow who recommended the central bank in his Manifesto as being indispensable for the achievement of the Communist goal.

I believe that Marx was a very bright political theorist and the few things I have read by him are quite insightful. However he was limited as are we all in his ability to foresee the future and he was after all an imperfect man. His ideas have been tried and have largely failed, especially his central banking notion that is now coming to an end.

"Jesus answered them: 'Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who commits sin is a slave to sin. The slave does not remain in the house forever; the son remains forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.'" (John 8:34-36)
