Forgotten memories of childhood rape victims - Society forgets
Actually, from my experience, forgotten memories are usually the child (under 8) repeatedly tells people around them they were raped, and then they mention it again, the society "forgets", whether it is the institution, parents, church, etc, that have a vested interest in making it forgotten. What, did you say that before??
Endless stories of it in the papers. I've talked to too many friends who have similar stories from different time periods, and seen it myself. If you are too young to protect yourself - under 8, and you are raped, society as a whole has a vested interested in forgetting about it.
Just like government. Docile people, raped at an early age.
Can't get justice. Now the whole society acts like they can't get justice at an adult age.
And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor.
