What gum
... is sweetened by aspartame? Almost all of the gum I see these days is sweetened with sucralose or xylitol. Maybe it's different where you are. I can't recall seeing any candy-aisle candy sweetened with anything other than sugar or HFCS. The kids I know are normally grossed out by the artificially sweetened hard candies.
I think the key is that you shouldn't be eating so much sweet stuff. Artificial sweeteners are just potentially dangerous. Sugar is actually dangerous. If people weren't so obsessed with sweet things, they would lower their consumption of both.
