Comment: There are too many covetous people
There are too many covetous people
as you point out. But they are told and believe that voting and plundering via the State apparatus is moral. Most of these people would not go murder and plunder on their own. They are convinced the State is am amiable institution.
In the Twentieth century alone between 250 and 350 million civilians were murdered at the hands of the State. We can compare that to probably less than 10 thousand private murders. How can anyone compare these two systems? It's like comparing watermelons to blueberries.
If you like the State and its murderous and plunderous characteristics, then fine. Why do you need a monopoly? Can't those of us who do not want to initiate force opt out? Those you like the State as a monopoly are basically desiring the initiation of force on those of us who do not.
