Do you have any idea how difficult

it is to get a child to report when someone did something to them? Children see adults as authority figures and, as evidenced by the TSA, few ever report abuse perpetrated by authority figures and most succumb easily to the abuse! This is why the TSA gets away with what it does. Now if it works so easily on adults, how much easier does it work on children? You are expecting way too much from children.
Some years back, on three separate occasions, I asked gay men how old they were when they had their first sexual encounter with another man. All 3 said when they were very young. Granted, that's only three out of how many adult gay men, but I would love to know the stats on how many gays were molested by a same sex partner as a child. Someone once told me that most people's first sexual encounter usually (not always) determines that person's sexual orientation.
Another aspect is that adults who were abused as children either end up becoming abusers or seek relationships that continue the abuse. How many women continually fall into the same kind of abusive reletaionships with men?
And you really need to fix your last senetnce. You blame parents first when it's more likely that most molestations are perpetrated by people known to the child the authority figure.
