No, that isn't what original sin means

No. Original sin does not mean a wrong you committed. It means pre-disposed to commit wrongs, mainly because you don't know God. We're that way because of original sin by our forefather Adam.

Despite what carnal man thinks, you need God. Carnal men say they don't, and then hand wave away that they all FEEL they shouldn't do wrong, and they are all doing wrong anyway. That makes no sense.

Why should you feel bad about doing wrong when you are imperfect and going to do wrong anyway?

Thomas Jefferson thought this was one of the strongest natural deist arguments for God to make to someone who isn't saved yet. You don't want to do what you do. You have a conscience telling you something else.

And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor.
