And we are on the brink of

And we are on the brink of true computer artificial intelligence. That is to say, the most costly versions of it may already exist somewhere, because the version that will eventually be affordable to consumers (equivalent in price to today's desktop computers) will be here by 2045 or earlier. We are already seeing some of this "trickle-down" development reaching consumers in the form of voice recognition, instantaneous translation, computer vision/recognition and improved search.

Higher grade versions of these technologies may be used for pattern recognition and e-mail scanning to catch "bad people" (LOL)...
