This is a perfect way to bring in a real third party voice. There should be a resurgence of the Democratic Republican party that was organized under Thomas Jefferson which was based on Anti-Federalism. It was all about limited federal government and states rights. I would imagine that it could gain quite a bit of traction. It sounds more legitimate than "libertarian" which seems to have become an offensive term to most folks who only get their information from talking heads on the left or right. The Democratic Republican party is as old as these United States. We might be able to get all of the sane people from the Democratic and Republican parties. The dems would be left with all of the whacko fiscal liberals and the repubs would be left with all of the whacko social conservatives. Problem solved.
