This post assumes nothing of the kind. There really is a collective, a group of activists and pastors considered to be "the religious right". Look up "The Family". The poster did not make an assumption that all religious people do these things. They were very specific.
And, sending out an anti-Muslim video is a perfect demonstration of how the radical Evangelicals are the key to the Neoconservative take-over of the GOP. Do you think megachurches are built with tithes? There are powerful (human) forces behind what is, yes, collectively called the "religious right".
Whenever I see a knee-jerk and defensive reaction to information like this all I see is one thing: guilt. Perhaps not, but to deny that Evangelical Extremists, some such as The Family who are very influential, are actively supporting a policy of religious genocide in the Middle East is naive, and sheepish.
"In the beginning of a change the patriot is a scarce man, and brave, and hated and scorned. When his cause succeeds, the timid join him, for then it costs nothing to be a patriot."--Mark Twain
