Comment: It was not my job to
It was not my job to
It was not my job to articulate a very simple, but incredibly important message.
Obamacare is going to destroy the United States economy.
I own a business and recently had the displeasure of meeting another business owner who owns 7 bowling alleys and employs over 70 people.
According to the new healthcare mandate, he will now be forced to pay for all 70 plus of his employees health care costs. He did the math, and it didn't work out very well because AFTER paying for all 70 of his employees healthcare costs, he'd be in a deep red hole and without a paycheck.
"I have to get rid of at least 21 employees, or cut my entire staff to part time, I have no idea what I'm going to do, I can't operate my lanes without at least 10 people each."
So I said, "you have to close a few lanes, get under fifty employees, or make your entire staff part time and try to hire enough people to fill in the gaps."
"Nobody wants to work part-time, and I can't have a bunch of teenagers running my business for minimum wage, I can't pay that, the work sucks, which is why I pay my employees well, $14 an hour, most of them are full time and half of my staff gets tips."
----- This is only ONE business owner. Imagine what the rest of the country is going through right now.
Never be afraid to ask simple questions.
