Two issues

1. I don't believe it's man's job to try to fulfill Biblical prophecy or try to predict when things predicted in the Bible will happen. That's up to God and He'll do it all in His timing.

2. You're right about Jewish Zionists not caring for the most part about their religion. Many of those that do support Zionism, do so because they believe they have to be living in the former Nation of Israel for their Messiah to come back (technically, they've got a point there, it's just that they kind of missed the boat). But, if the Israeli people are not the true descendants of the ancient Israelite people that God made the restoration promise to, then who and where are the Israelite people?
