Sorry, but it is very obvious that you have NEVER been selected for jury duty. And most likely you never will. Judges and prosecutors think that "jury nullification" will make them look bad, and they have the power to preclude it by carefully weeding out libertarians and anyone else who displays signs of independent judgment, moral sense or disrespect for "authority." My own experience has ME convinced of this.
The news story got one thing wrong: there is no "system of justice" at work here. Systematized injustice is what we've got.
