'White' is a racial group (more of an umbrella term really)

'Jew' is a religious affiliation.

BTW, most Jews, including the ones in Israel ARE White. I don't know why so many people talk as if the two are mutually exclusive when they obviously aren't.

Also, Whites most certainly did live in North America before the colonization of it...unless you don't count Vikings as White people. Going back to prehistoric times when Asia and NA were connected (Beringia aka Bering land bridge), plenty of 'White' and 'Asian' folk crossed over and settled in NA.
