New Section: Juicing

Note I: Always use high quality organic produce free of pesticides and other contaminants. Also, cancer patients on the Gerson Therapy should drink the juice while fresh to obtain the full benefit. Green juices should be consumed immediately, though carrot/apple apple juice may be stored for a little while. Refer to the Gerson Therapy instrutructions on juicing.
Note II: The Norwalk Juicer produces the highest quality juice and is recommended by the Gerson Therapy, though it has an expensive price tag(Look for used units). An alternative(though not specifically endorsed by the Gerson Therapy but tested in the Hallelujah Acres Juice Extractor Comparison Study) would be to combine a separate grinder like the Champion Juicer with an hydraulic manual press like the Peoples Press(Welles Press). The Hallelujah Acres Study states that the Champion/Peoples Press combination ranks the highest "for both quality and quantity of juice produced." Another factor to consider is that cancer patients may not have the necessary strength to fully utilize the manual press. Gerson Therapy Clinics have stated that patients who used centrifugal juicers received little benefit until they switched to the Norwalk Juicer. This was due to heat and oxidation which reduces enzyme activity.
Note III: The Norwalk Juicer will not produce good quality wheatgrass juice because of its fibrous content. Choose a low rpm single or twin auger type juicer for wheatgrass. The Lexen Manual Juicer works well and is inexpensive. Wheatgrass juice is not part of the Gerson Therapy.

Juicing with Norwalk 270 - “A quick, very basic demonstration of juicing with a Norwalk using bags. I show the whole process less the wipe off of the machine itself and the rinsing of a couple dishes I used. Literally it only added a minute to the process. I usually add wheatgrass to the juice and grind it in with the other veggies at breakfast.”

Juicing Carrots in the Welles Cold Press Hydraulic Juice Extractor - “John demonstrates how to juice carrots in the Welles Press Cold Press Juicer. The Welles is the 2nd step when using the Norwalk Juicer. The first step is usually performed with a Champion Juicer, but in this video, John uses the slow-speed Samson 9006 Juicer to do step one. By purchasing and using this combination, you get juice that exceeds "Norwalk Quality" for much less money.” (The Hallelujah Acres Study only tested the enzyme activity of juice produced with a Champion Juicer/Welles Peoples Press combination so it might be best to choose the champion juicer as the grinder instead of the Sampson Juicer used in the video. It may not be as good, but it at least has been verified.)

Manual Wheatgrass Juicer - Healthy Juicer by Lexen Products - “Here is a wonderful video review about the best manual wheatgrass juicer on the planet! By - purchase the healthy juicer here!
(Although there are more durable wheatgrass juicers on the market, this one is inexpensive, has good extraction, and parts can be replaced when needed.)
