I feel the same way

Admittedly, I'm a little rough around the edges sometimes, and I have a lot of frustrations, particularly with other family members who take this stuff to the Nth.... But I accept Jesus and his tenets for a good life. I also agree people will never be much different....
There's just been so much hurt and damage to humanity, and while the 'official story' is typically over religious/freedom ideals, the end game is always territory, resources, and power....I'm sure we're on the same page with the history, or not much different.
Religion, unfortunately, is used as a prop and for propaganda, and to shape cultures and groups of humanity into like-minded, dare I say, zealots...Like it's a team sport or something. U of M vs. Ohio State...Good guys vs 'Bad' guys stuff. Every religious text I know of, tries to express it's 'totality', where "The streets will flow with the blood of the non-belivers!", and I just think that's pretty messed up, but I certainly don't blame Jesus or God for that.

At the end of the day, my finger is pointing at, not unlike the jackal's of our media, and the financial and corporate institutions,... I blame the people who seek power, and would be so depraved as to use people's myriad (usually culture bound) religious beliefs to hate on some other group or culture of people. Or worse yet, to justify killing them.
