Yes, her rights were violated. Had she shot the entire SWAT team dead, and I were on her jury, I would vote to acquit her. Hell, give her a medal for removing dangerous pests from the community.

But she was unarmed and outnumbered. All I'm saying is that her best strategy is to SURVIVE the encounter, and sue the bastards later. Yelling anything that includes the words "got a gun" is not the best strategy for survival, hm?
