Comment: But, imagine if the Native Amerindians were as large

a minority as blacks or Hispanics, but, no more integrated into American society than tribal Indians today. Then imagine there were constant border disputes between them and state and federal governments. Now imagine the Native Liberation Army carried out terrorist attacks on land they believed should be part of their tribes, killing U.S. women and children and continually stirred up Indian resentment against paleface occupation and past atrocities the way Indian radicals did in the late 1800s.

Actually, that scenario HAS happened in this country. It was just a long, long time ago and our government reacted just like Israel is reacting today. The big difference though is the Palistinians aren't anywhere near as outnumbered as the Indians were even two hundred years ago and don't have to worry about dying off from smallpox. Plus, there's the international factor. Israel is surrounded by the Palestinians' ethnic and religious brethren. So, the Palestinians are not likely to come out of this as badly as the Native Americans in the United States.
