Dear Mr. Geithner ... I hate to break it to you, but...

... what you're suggesting, Mr. Geithner, is to condone A CONTEMPLATED ACT OF TREASON against the Constitution of the United States of America.

Because, indeed, way beyond the observably eerie, much questionable, interpretation of the Section 4 of the 14th Amendment you're alluding to, by removing any form of debt ceiling, you are ALSO, ACTUALLY, making a suggestion which is UNTENABLE, for in direct OPPOSITION to the core of the Section 9 of the Constitution ITSELF, in its paragraph 7.

for your reading convenience, here is this passage again :

"Section. 9.

[...]

No Money shall be drawn from the Treasury, but in Consequence of Appropriations made by Law; and a regular Statement and Account of the Receipts and Expenditures of all public Money shall be published from time to time.

[...]"

Rationale :

Without ANY debt ceiling, Mr. Geithner, you just CANNOT possibly give ANY reasonable meaning, in the English language, or in any human language for that matter, to the above phrase "Statement and Account of the Receipts and Expenditures of ALL public Money".

(emphasis mine)

You do not want to suggest an act of TREASON against the Constitution of your own country, Mr. Geithner, DO YOU ?

So, you're much welcome for this refresher, Mr. Geithner !

My pleasure, for Liberty.
