I'm afraid that maybe the only reason why China has been so "kind, friendly" buying so much of USD-based debt and for so long, until recently anyway, as there seems to be a turn of trend indeed (lookup 2011/12 BRICS news), was that ...

... China did need the petro-dollars, and pretty BADLY :

We're not talking about a 350+ million folks economy ... it's about a 1.3+ billion souls one; a factor 4.

Now, what does that tell us China frantically stockpiling gold and silver over almost the last ten years in a row and continuing today, more than ever ?
