Hi, bear

I love that you have this thankfulness post up. As for this verse (and many similar to it), I heard some interesting commentary in which it was an example. Of the many miracles in the Bible, ever notice how [unlike the Fed and money!], they generally did not materialize out of thin air? For example, when there was no wine at the wedding feast, Jesus did not say, "Voila!" and suddenly there were jars of wine there. He said to fill the pots with water. And then He *transformed* the water into wine. When He fed the multitudes, He did not snap His fingers and there was suddenly food. He took the small amount of food that was given to Him and *multiplied* what was (already) there. What the moral of the story was, that *we* needed to do our part and give God something to work with, so to speak. I considered it interesting food for thought! No pun intended. :)

When we try to pick out anything by itself, we find it hitched to everything else in the Universe.
