In any case

Israel and the Palestinians are stuck at an impasse. Both are at fault, no matter what happened when. Neither can defeat the other--The Palestinians have the seventh largest birth rate on the planet, with grievance from past hurts that produces political capital for world sympathy. As well being exploited by militant radicals like the Hamas who have their own agenda.

Israel naturally should and will protect itself and of course, has its Holocaust history--hijacked to preserve the state which has its own interests at sake. Same thing when the slavery issue was used as a cloak to justify the Civil War, or Wilson "Making the world safe for democracy" to get the US into WWI.

So short of Armageddon, both nations will continue to be locked in a Hatfield and McCoy blood feud, encouraged by other interests and parties who benefit from the conflict.

I wish the US would stay out,as we only enable the bloody cycle.
