Why did that old lady get so bent?

I think it's pretty obvious that Adam pulled a bait and switch interview on her. He gave the impression that he was doing a fluff piece on holiday shopping, then turned it political. She seemed like a genuinely nice older woman out buying stocking items to donate for the holidays, and was blind-sided by politics. I also think she probably knows as much as the others and rather than stick around and be humiliated on camera, she split.
