This is not accurate at all

I would disagree with any law that forced any beliefs upon anyone but this one, as bad as it is in its own right, does nothing of the sort.
The "whereas's" in a bill are quite meaningless and don't become part of the law. And a legislature deciding to acknowledge God on public buildings is fine because it does nothing to establish a religion, which would be unconstitutional.
Please read the actual law if you care to see how off-base this really is. Again, if it were true it would be bad so this isn't a defense of this false story.
