I must say that the job theme in no way/shape/form effects the way a graphic designer performs.
I don't know what this Molly Maroney has done in the past, but if she's specifically just a web/graphic designer, people likely shouldn't demonize her. I've always identified myself as a web designer(designing includes graphics as well); that being said, I also freelance and that means picking up whatever projects I can, whenever I can.
As a graphic designer I'd do anything, from Bush to Obama logos. That's not to say that I support "this candidate" or "that candidate", but that they are going to get the idolic logos whether I make them or not. Why not get money for it?
tl;dr it's like calling Rembrandt a monarchist for doing a painting of Queen Elizabeth. (He didn't, but for arguments sake...)
