Remember what Doug Weed said about Rand: "Someone in the liberty movement has to play politics."
I think Rand is a chip off of the old block even though he plays along with the neocons on occasion. There is no way that his father's philosophy on The role of government and personal liberty isn't ingrained in him. He saw his father kicked around like a nobody for 24 years in congress and sees another, more clever way to further the cause of liberty. Besides, he doesn't want a JFK-type ending.
Give the guy some credit and the benefit of the doubt. He's playing their game.
Ignore the media's lies and propaganda.
