This is going to eventually lead to all-out war.
The Palestinians' population is growing much, much faster than Israel's. Israel knows the only way they're going to be able to hold onto the West Bank is with sheer, brute force. That's going to become increasingly hard to do as the Palestinian population grows in size. If Israel grows too brutal, they'll have to contend with the possibility of its neighbors going to war with it on the side of the Palestinians. That won't be a problem for Israel as long as Iran doesn't get involved. That would explain why Israel is so adamant about taking out Iran, so, when the lead hits the fan, they won't have to worry about Iran.
