Comment: These claims are not true.

Whooping cough is not reaching "epidemic proportions," to begin with, let alone because of the pertussis vaccine. Even Dr. "buymyvitamins and potions" Mercola doesn't make this claim.

If you actually read the study the study he cited, it says that the current schedule for the acellular vaccine may not be as effective as previously thought. It is not claiming that the vaccines are "spreading the disease."

The anti-vaccine fanatics always seem to ignore the glaring fact that thousands of children in the US used to die every year because of whooping cough, and now the number has dwindled to a few dozen a year. No one is saying that the pertussis vaccines are 100% of effective. Nothing in medicine is 100% effective. (Except eventual death regardless of any and all medical treatments).
