I think it's great how music becomes
part of a family's traditions. Love that classic Rudolf song! In my case...
My grandfather had come to America from Germany as a young teen. At some point my mother visited Switzerland & Germany and brought back an album, "Alpine Echoes," that she'd play every year when my grandparents stayed with us at Christmas. He loved those songs. So it's an association I have. For me, it's not Christmas without a bit of yodeling and this image in mind https://encrypted-tbn1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRXIKK5... That album is long lost, but I've acquired some like it. Here's a song that beautifully captures the sound of harmonies that, in this house, mean Christmastime. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fuQRk90uaio
