there's big biker-fest there every year called "Thunder in the Valley"

not TOO far fetched that some of the more 'free-spirited" bikers might have dealt out a little frontier justice after having their leathers ruined. The leather in NOT for looks, it is highly protective to the rider. Most of the riders I know would never go out without it.
