According to the young man in the story, he was forced to practice a religion and was discriminated against for not having a religion. His "religion" was no religion, so he was actually prohibited from it. Like I said, it should all be voluntary, and in this case he is an atheist and he should be allowed to practice atheism if he so chooses.
