Comment: Without the Resurrection, the sacrifice would be

(See in situ)

Without the Resurrection, the sacrifice would be

a token gesture, at best. I get about the pagan thing. However, there is a springtime for earth and for the soul; a renewal of life after death. I tend to not take things literally. I believe there are deeper meanings in Christianity for those who have ears to hear and eyes to see. Without the Resurrection, at whatever level anyone chooses to interpret it, there is no foundation for faith.

BTW, I do take the Resurrection literally. All the circular arguements in the world against such a belief, just keep going round and around in cirles. The bottom line for me is "Who Moved the Stone?"

Easter is the highest holy day in the Christian calendar for a very good reason and I celebrate it more so than I celebrate Christmas. Just sayin'.
