It's too bad he wont be in the Senate but he'll actually be able to pull the conservative movement back towards classical liberalism at Heritage. All the nutkickers who can't stand his military stance are seriously flawed. He's supported this movement at many turns. He's said a few times that he'd rather the debate be between conservatives and libertarians than conservatives and liberals.
