Being alive is a privilege, yes.

I was created by a doctor, literally, from the very beginning.

Some people were born without hands. Were they born with less rights. As an x-Marine I can assure you that your life is a privilege that can be taken away, just like parents take away the tv. Your eyes too. If I want to, I can take them from you, and there is probably nothing anyone could do to stop me. Society and their rights come only after the fact.

Picture you are presented with a gun in your face on the sidewalk in the middle of the night. You're cool, so you smile and say you were born with the inalienable right to life. Someone pulls the trigger. You die. No more rights to anything. Society goes on to discuss what other after-the-fact rights they want to protect with punitive action for those that break the rules. At least you'll still have your hands.
