Folks...

It seems like Rand-hating has taken on a life of its own here. Please do me a favor in the future before you unload on this man. Pretend his name is Joe Blow and that he has no affiliation with Ron Paul. He is not his father. I will never admire him the way I admire his father. That said, I will not likely ever admire many people as much as I admire his father. I hope enough of us are free-thinking enough to not get carried away by the tide of anti-Rand sentiment at our favorite website. No one is asking you to fight for this man the way many of you have fought for his father.

Regarding this strategy, I like it. If we are all as confident as we are that nothing can be done to avert fiscal disaster, why not let those who deserve full credit get full credit? Instead of being "obstructionist" and getting run out of dodge by their peers as is beginning to happen to most defenders of liberty in Congress, I would prefer these folks to opt out. Remember, Obama's economy is not his fault because the republicans have had it out for him and blocked everything he tried to do. If the people want to drive off the cliff (Aside: unlike the prevailing rhetoric and branding, I consider driving over the fiscal cliff to be the exact opposite of what the pundits consider it to be. Have you noticed that they have packaged deficit reduction and an economic correction as "going over the fiscal cliff"?) let us give them what they want. I, for one, will be as ready as I can be. Perhaps it would be better to recover from the ashes than to keep fighting an out-of-control fire.

Unlearning and self-teaching since 2008. Thanks, Dr. Paul!
