Such a maneuver would not be planned with remote control. The aircraft arrived at the target at 6000 feet altitude, which may have been a mistake, thus the u-turn descent. The descent also shows difficulty in keeping the nose down, the mark of inexperience.
I agree it leaves open the question of how the pilot was trained on a 757, far different from the cockpit of a 737. Oddly, evidence which followed that trail was blocked by the Bush Administration.
