Comment: Cell phones

(See in situ)

Cell phones

have become the equivalent of a security blanket. I honestly don't know anybody (except myself) that is willing to go anywhere or even function without one. I was previously hooked, too, but nearly a couple of years ago I flipped a coin, the cell phone lost and my experiment began. I keep a prepaid stashed for occasions when I might need it but it hardly ever gets used or even powered on. I feel sorry for all of those people I see constantly glued to their touchscreens addicted to facebook-twitter-texting. I love technology but the freedom I found in ditching my mobile is far more valuable to me. It's the way of the future.
