Comment: Perhaps their prophet
Perhaps their prophet
prophesied to Romney that he was to become the "One Mighty and Strong" of Mormon lore. Perhaps he believed that he was the chosen one to fulfill Joseph Smith's "prophecy" that a Mormon would save the Union when it was hanging by a hair off a yellow dog's back. There could be all kinds of perhapses and expectations that were going on behind the scenes with their religion, and they bought into it hook, line, and sinker. Maybe in their minds they had already made the transition into Mitt the MORMON being the most powerful man in the world. Maybe they are thrown for a loop because it didn't come to pass. Maybe they question their religion but have to keep on with it because they are so deeply invested. Those things or some of them could have happened.
