Comment: Vision is what's lacking

Unfortunately, human consciousness seems to have taken a U-turn. Well, in any event, our capacity for THINKING. These days, good luck if students can follow a train of thought longer than two or three sentences. Thanks to teacher ed, teachers are taught they need to break everything down into "bytes" of information; teachers are also expected to "dumb down" their vocabulary (not that, these days, I'm saying that's much of a challenge for many). We keep "lowering the bar." We're spiraling down and down and down... at least here in America!
