Abrahams faith

is the best picture of what biblical faith is all about.

Abraham was promised by God a son in his old age. Even though the evidence was contrary to the promise, (Abraham was old and Sarah was old and barren) Abraham staggered not at the promise of God, but was confident that what he had promised, he was also able to perform.
And what does the scripture say? "Abraham believed God and it was imputed to him for righteousness." And when Abraham was 99 years old, Issac was born of Sarah as God promised.

It is the work of the Devil to cast doubt on what God said.

The very first words of the Devil recorded in the Bible are: "Yea hath God said"
Genesis 3.

I don't hear much in other religions about their books being pure or from God. In my experience it is only the Bible that is questioned.

Even modern scholars do it. Just read the introduction to the new "Bibles". There is always something being improved because the work of translation is never done.

The God that created the heaven, the earth, the sea and all that is in them; The God that raised his son from the dead, is not able to keep his written words pure and without error?

I know that you didn't say it, but those that do, need to consider their position. The Bible is either right and men don't understand it or care to. Or its wrong and not the word of God. It cannot be both.

Our constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.
