Comment: Lindbergh

Lindbergh

was a strong proponent of non-interventionalism and was even part of the "America First" party which dissolved quickly after the attack on Pearl Harbor.

My basic understanding is that America was largely "isolationist" after WWI and didn't want anything to do with war until the convenient attack on PH.
I was watching the (revisionist) "History Channel" the other day, and they were talking about how FDR was making deals with Churchill to not only supply him with ships but with use of our factories in trade for British technological secrets like the magnetron and rough plans for the A-bomb.
Thanks for the different perspective. I will check it out when I have more time. The discrepancies are astounding between what we were taught in "school" and what actually happened.
