Enough making such a big deal about Rand's endorsement. 1, I guarantee it you it did not affect voters one iota. 2, Ron Paul regularly endorsed neocon Republicans in Texas. Why? Because that's what you have to do to get reelected.
A Romney-endorsing Rand in the Senate is better than a "pure" Rand sitting at home in Texas.
