That the fair tax is supposedly "revenue neutral"
is a big minus, IMHO. Government confiscates too much money from those who earned it - the fair tax would continue that practice.
I much prefer Ron Paul's idea of replacing the income tax with nothing, which would also eliminate the onerous IRS.
Another big minus of the fair tax is the "prebate", which will require more reporting, another bureacracy to administrate, and further condition citizens to believe that the government is "giving" them money.
