Whether you like it or not (& I DON'T), if you engage in any way in the u.S. economy, part of your property is being soaked up by the Fe'ral Govt. Anybody ever admonishes me to "Support the troooops," and I refer to my paystub, which shows an annoying huge chunk of "support" being extracted against my wishes.

full disclosure, former "troop" myself, discharged USAF@SSgt in 1981.
