That The 2013 NDAA
does not allow for the indefinite detention of U.S. citizens. Unfortunately, it seems that the NDAA does still authorize indefinite detention of non-citizens (in violation of the Bill Of Rights, which applies to all people). But Adam's reporting was in error.
And to suggest that a private trip to the Middle East is something that "completely sever[s]" ties to his father's voting base is a stretch.
