Ron Paul would do almost anything to protect his good name which was used with out his permission, on MANY occasions- for private gain.
That is where the problem was, and I dont blame him.
Imagine if someone took your good name you worked hard to build and protect and created a website, swag, rallys,etc etc, opening you up to all kinds of hog wash and untruths/half truths during your presidential run...how would you feel? Especially a man like ron paul who has systematically protected his good name for decades?
Many saw dollar signs and sought to ride Pauls coat tails to riches and for most, it backfired.
Look at paulfest as a prime example.
Everyone who's in it for the money loved ron until his name would no longer produce for them. They feel they were left high and dry!
and they never even had the decency to ask him to use his name in the first place, they just did.
Rand will make certain this does not happen to him, and has all ready begun the purge.
