1. they are not trying to stop gw, because the whole purpose of the junk science is to use it for power and control. i don't believe they are in it for some sort of greater good. if you control ones energy, you control them, and that is what they are after.
2. people who are asked to carry this out are probably told it is for the purpose of curbing gw. And they are probably hired because they believe it.
